We roll right into it with talking about how listening is key in order to pick up on what and how our partners are saying.
Once you have made the mental notes and have developed the nuggets then you have to do something with them.  And it is here where effort comes into play.  This also goes for general saying in any kind of relationship.  Putting forth effort speaks volume and shouldn’t go unnoticed. Simply by putting in effort shows that you care, especially when it is not expected.
When it comes to delivering the effort and doing something nice, kind, thoughtful for someone the best way is to do it with en element of surprise.  Having something unexpectedly loving or thoughtful happen to us is going to make anyone feel special, loved, heard and admired.  It is also the fun surprises that make some of the best memories.  The surprises are what makes us all smile.

Listening is an art that requires attention over talent, spirit, over ego, others over self.

I recorded the episode than broke it into 3 separate episodes so each of the 3 episodes can deliver info and keep your attention.  This episode I talk about the first steps at implementing the little things in your relationship is to be attentive and when you are with your partner be present.

Being attentive and present will allow you to be fully be in the moments with them so you are able to discover helpful nuggets that will help you deliver when you are ready. Being present not only shows respect to that person but it also is a way to find enjoyment and to not take for granted the gift of having someone to spend time with.

It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.

I shared them with my longest friend my best friend and my brother and he said what I already knew, that I needed to show more of who I am.  He said to share more about me so more people can relate easier.

This is what I knew and felt so it was so nice to hear it.

Because I am more on the introverted side I tend to come across as shy, one who undersells and over delivers.  Because I am still new to this podcast stuff I am still finding my comfortability in front of the mic. I struggled to “be myself” when I was doing auditions and in acting classes and I have found that facing a mic gives off a very similar energy.

I know that the comfort and ease will come with time and experience so I am not worried about that at all. I do know that even in just the few episodes that I have recorded, I am feeling better each time I step in front of the mic and press record.  So this episode is a little bit more of who I am and my vision behind this podcast.

I am wanting to being awareness to toxic masculinity and promote and support responsible masculinity. To help men bring a non egoic attention to themselves in order to step their game up to be better so that when it comes time to being in a relationship we as men are better for our partners and better to them.

Bring fuel to the flame of intimacy in order to keep it lit and flaming bright.  Doing the little things is actually doing the big things and being in touch with your emotions makes you more of a man.

Episode 6: The Spiritual Health Petal https://abettermanabetteryou.com/podcast/episode-6-soundcloud-example/ https://abettermanabetteryou.com/podcast/episode-6-soundcloud-example/#respond Wed, 24 Jul 2019 09:27:58 +0000 https://satchmo.secondlinethemes.com/?p=62 We are back at it with coverage of another petal on the healthy balanced Health Flower and today we are talking about MY FAVORITE petal!!  The Spiritual Health Petal.  For me, this is the petal that has gifted me the biggest impact in my life thus far and it is a topic that I could talk about all night and into the dawn.  I know it is all about balance but… I don’t feel my bias shows up in the episode (shhhhhh).

Spiritual health comes down to remaining OPEN to views, systems, ideas, beliefs…that are outside of yours. To question what was taught to us and perhaps deprograming our traditional way of thinking and truly develop our own.
When were on point in our spiritual health petal things happen that are often hard to put into words so we sum it up to “being in the zone”.  Thinking is not involved and as that channel opens up the connection is made to Your higher self and spirit is flowing through you.  Think about that rush when you are suddenly “inspired” to do something, you are IN-SPIRIT, an urge or rush that is rather unexplainable.
Yoga, meditation and a deep connected experience of sexual ecstasy are all about connecting to that spiritual component of your higher self.  Not to mention that I believe the Spiritual Health Petal has the biggest impact on all the others.

We are here on this beautiful living planet, Mother GAIA, and we are in this human form. We are all here on earth as spiritual beings having a human experience. A HUGE part of this human experience is the emotional aspect of it and feeling an array of these emotions, human emotions. We as men tend to block a lot of certain emotions in order to feed our ego. The emotions/energy will only continue to build and become more and more toxic.
We as men have traditionally been taught by society and our upbringing that showing emotion is a sign of weakness and that real men don’t cry or show emotion, that could’t be further from the truth, it is actually the exact opposite.

We are all simply spiritual beings having a temporary human experience.

The goal of it all is to have a properly balanced Health Flower.  Each petal is equally as important as the others and each petal is connected and directly effects the others.

Today we jump into the Physical Health  Petal and break it down a bit. Go over what things in our daily life fall under this petal and why this petal in particular drives our ego.  You physical appearance, your style/fashion, the cleanliness of your house your ass and your mouth all fall under this important petal. So be open and be aware! Notice how much energy we place on our physical health and how ego driven it is.  There is also a little chatter of how healthily balancing this petal will positively impact other areas of your life.
